Our Nurse Practitioners

Vanda Marsh RN MS CPNP Vanda L. Marsh, RN, MS, CPNP
Vanda has worked in pediatrics for 25 years. She has been affiliated with Wheaton Pediatrics for 18 years, the last 5 years working as an Advanced Practice Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Vanda graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Northern Illinois University. In 2000 she completed her studies for her Masters of Science in Nursing and Advanced Practice Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Shortly thereafter, she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. She is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Illinois and an asthma educator certified by the National Asthma Education Certification Board.

For 18 years in conjunction with her work at Wheaton Pediatrics, Vanda worked in emergency medicine at Children’s Memorial Hospital. Vanda’s special professional interests include asthma treatment and education and Attention-Deficit Disorders. Vanda is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a fellow of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associates and Practitioners (NAPNAP). Vanda has lived in Wheaton with her husband and 3 daughters for 31 years. She enjoys reading, baking, visiting her grandchildren, traveling with her husband, and participating in church activities such as Stephen Ministry.
Catherine M. Moroni, RN, MS, CPNP
Cathy Moroni joined Wheaton Pediatrics in September, 2003. Cathy was born in Ohio, but raised in Ohio, Connecticut, Illinois and Indiana. She graduated from St. Francis High School in Wheaton, Illinois and the University of Dayton, in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. Her nursing study was completed at the University of Illinois, Chicago. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing and completed the Pediatric Advanced Nurse Practitioner program in 2003. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. Cathy is an adjunct faculty member of the University Of Illinois College Of Nursing. She is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board and a fellow of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Associate and Practitioners (NAPNAP). Prior to coming to Wheaton Pediatrics, Cathy worked at Children's Memorial Hospital in the Intensive Care Unit and Specialty Ambulatory Clinics. Her clinical interests include asthma, skin care, developmental pediatrics and providing support for families of children with chronic health conditions. She emphasizes education and health promotion. Cathy lives in River Forest. She is married and has four children, a cat and a dog. One of her favorite activities is working at Wheaton Pediatrics. She also enjoys gardening, reading and bike riding.
